What a watery whirlwind these past few weeks have been!!
If you’ve been feeling barely able to come up for air,
if you’ve been flowing with big exciting waves of change,
or if you’ve been simply feeling out of it…
it’s all right on time.
The energetic tides are now shifting, thankfully.
As we move forward into the heart of summer, we’ll feel our inner fire returning.
Something I always want you to remember.
When it comes to astrology, or any esoteric system, we can all too easily get caught up in the future. Or even in the past.
We can get hooked on the idea that we don’t “know enough” or are “missing” something big.
I’ve most definitely been there.
But the longer I practice with this wise old system, the more I find the only thing I’m ever missing is the present moment.
The present, here, with yourself, is where all the gifts are.
Where all the magic is.
And where the astrology is always pointing back to.
Every trigger, every moment of satisfaction, and every small joy, is an opportunity to know yourself a little bit more fully.
Lot’s of important shifts are happening right now.
Like literally in the next few days, and next few weeks!!
Here’s a quick look at our current sky happenings.
Remember, whatever is right here in front of you, is what it’s all about.
Yesterday, Wednesday, July 22nd, we entered Leo season.
Where Cancer season (and that kind of nasty Cancer Mercury retrograde) had us uncovering deep inner child emotions and crying tears we needed to cry, Leo season points our focus towards another part of our inner child: our inner child gifts, joy, creativity, and playfulness.
Leo energy is the biggest permission slip to be our most naturally radiant and authentic selves.
In the body, Leo is connected to the heart and the spine.
Embodying Leo energy looks like a proud chest, an open heart. The kind of posture that doesn’t shrink, but also doesn’t have anything to prove.
This season does have some challenging energy in store for us (will have more on that coming your way, listen here for now).
But, the beauty in this season is that it will invite us to shine brighter.
It’s not about doing more.
It’s about being more of what’s true.
Today, Thursday, July 23rd, Mercury retrograde ends.
This happens in the evening, 7pm eastern time, so we still have several hours of retrograde vibes to go.
Make sure you complete this retrograde with reverence.
Take some time tonight, or tomorrow, to reflect on the most impactful, interesting, or surprising moments of the last 3 weeks.
What was life showing you? What important conversations were had? What stung? What cleared away?
Because this retrograde was so pointy and intense, it feels especially important to mark it’s ending with presence, intention, and maybe a good full body salt scrub.
Sunday, July 26th the Nodes shift into Leo and Aquarius.
This is a big deal.
The North and South Nodes, aka the Nodes of Fate, move through the sky in 18 month cycles, creating eclipses as they go.
For the past 18 months (think beginning of 2025), we’ve been in major transformation mode when it comes to Virgo and Pisces energy, and the Virgo and Pisces houses in our birth chart.
Starting this Sunday, we enter a new 18 month era.
One where Leo and Aquarius energy are our biggest sources of empowerment and growth. Where we’re asked to step into heart led leadership, move from an even deeper rootedness in our authenticity, and radically claim our sparkle.
Next Wednesday, July 29th, it’s the Full Moon in Aquarius.
This full moon is meaningful because it’s the last moon we get before eclipse season takes us on a ride throughout August.
Not only is this full moon an opportunity to continue clearing, releasing, and shedding what no longer serves, it’s an opportunity to clear the way for the universe to move you forward, powerfully.
Something around friendship, community, or where you've been performing/conforming for belonging may come to a head.
An Aquarius full moon loves a breakthrough, so let yourself go a step further into your weird, wonderful authenticity, than you normally would.
A full moon is a chance to clear and release.
